Broski - Sculpture - Dog Balancing Red Ball

This dog sculpture is perpetually performing a trick for its owner by balancing a red ball on it's nose. It resembles wood with its textured feel and glazes of matte almond and umber. 

Cathy began making dogs several years after her husband found their first dog, Porter, running on the grounds of the brewery where he was working. The staff immediately named her Porter, some of her coloring was the same as the dark beer. She soon became Cathy's muse. Cathy would make her follow a treat so she could study a pose over and over. Cathy found Porter's constant companionship a joy. Porter became to symbolize the loyal, unconditional loves in Cathy's life. And, all of her dog sculptures are modeled after lovable Porter.
