Many of the images you see on the walls here reflect my love of old buildings, the intricacies of hard labor, and the randomness of scenes around me. I’ve always been fascinated by old structures and the history behind them, wondering what stories they could tell while appreciating the craftsmanship that it took to build something that would last 100 years or more. In a similar vein, the brute force work that took place recently at the Bowersock Dam (itself an ancient structure) of the Kansas River seems to me to be the modern version of those turn-of-the-century labors…something built to last for another one hundred years. Lastly, I am always a fool for the random image that incorporates cool light, a funny story, or a colorful character. I hope you enjoy these shots!
