For as long as I can remember, I have sought out new challenges and opportunities to strengthen my creative abilities and explore new mediums. While I have always had an innate passion for art, it wasn’t the primary focus in my career. I grew up in Sedalia and studied elementary education at Southwest Missouri State in Springfield. After graduation, I made my home in Kansas City, embarked upon a teaching career, and started a family. When I retired from teaching gifted students, I began to further develop my own artistic interests. As a lifelong Missourian, I cherish the richness and diversity of our natural environment. I also love exploring the beauty of the ocean we Midwesterners are denied. When possible, I am camping beside a lake or snorkeling on a coral reef. At home, you will find me in my studio creating jewelry inspired by the places and things I love. We attach feelings and memories of extraordinary moments, celebrations, and loved ones to our jewelry. It is these tangible objects of sentiment that we pass on to those we love. My one-of-a-kind art jewelry is designed to celebrate nature and bring joy to daily life.
