Liberty House Jewelry

The name “Liberty House Jewelry” came from our historic 1900 home located on Liberty Road in rural Great Bend, Kansas. Soon after our purchase and restoration of our stately home, our friends and family began referring to it as “Liberty House”. Our home provides me a wonderful studio to create my handcrafted jewelry made with a variety of vintage, unique, and recycled pieces. Some of the things I like to use in my jewelry designs are vintage hardware, cancelled stamps and postmarks, old maps, piano keys, repurposed ammo cases, and anything else that inspires me. I am always searching antique shops, estate sales, flea markets and even in our workshop junk pile for unique eye catching pieces to use in my jewelry designs.
I was inspired to use cancelled stamps and postmarks after moving (and moving) the boxes of stamps and postmarks that my husband’s grandmother collected throughout her lifetime. Her collection is from the early 1900s to the 1970s. She would be delighted that I am able to share her collection with others.
