Kansas City, Missouri
Vanessa Lacy seeks out color relationships in her work that vibrate with energy while uniting with an overall sense of unity. The bright colors in her Kansas City landmark paintings reflect the energy she feels when in the city. “My goal is to learn something new about color, painting, and about myself every time I pick up a brush.”
Lacy earned a BFA in Drawing and a BSED in Art Education from Missouri State University and a Masters in Education from Baker University. She has been teaching art for 8 years and lives and paints in Kansas City. She attends local art fairs such as Art Westport and Prairie Village Art Fair and shows in galleries around the Kansas City area. You can find her most days painting in her studio in the Livestock Exchange Building in the West Bottoms.
