Culling FF - "Converging Mandala" - Framed 10" x 10" Framed to 18" x 18" Original Monotype

"In my women artists group, we created mandalas. I did a new version in monotype style, where I applied water soluble paint in layers on a plexiglass plate, creating a circular image. After it was dry, I misted the pigment on the plate, then flipped the plate onto a piece of art paper that I had soaked in water. Using a wooden spoon, carefully rubbing the back of the paper, I transferred the image to the paper. What is put down first becomes the top of the image. I added colored pencils to fill in. This image represents the unity of many joining in the converging mandala circle." - Laurie Culling
