Final Friday - Maria S. Martin - Acrylic on Handmade Paper - 'Brilliant Sunrise'
Maria S. Martin
Acrylic on handmade paper
My ultimate goal is to create a work that is engaging and takes the viewer on their personal road trip. There is a story behind every painting, whether the subject is abstract or realistic. My hope is that the paintings allow the viewer to see out beyond the obvious. I am a mixed media abstract artist. I work in acrylic and oil paints as well as monotype. My paintings include layers of vertical and horizonal colors, including collage adding a mix of my sketches, smaller paintings, photographs and textured papers. My style tends to be abstract representational.
