My first mentor was John Kudlacek at Emporia State when I started in ceramics at  the age of forty. I also was instructed by Jim Estes at Missouri Western. I was fortunate  to study under Stephen Hill, Victor Babu, George Timock and Ken Ferguson while attending school at KCAI. I also had the great opportunity of working in the studio with  Jim Leedy in the later years of his life. 

 I retired in 2009 and built a wood fired train kiln on my property located in the  Missouri Ozark’s. I currently work with mid-range and high fired ceramics.
