Llew - Spiritiles - Glass Over Copper - "Beginning" #306

“Live your life with arms wide open. Today is where your book begins. The rest is still unwritten.” -Natasha Bedingfield

Spiritiles are made by first laying powdered glass, or “frit,” onto a perfectly cut copper canvas, using a series of stencils for each layer of color, playing cards, and hand sifters to carve out the design. Once delicately aligned and layered, the glass and metal is carefully placed in the red-hot kiln, where the glass melts and fuses with the metal to create a smooth, durable, lustrous finish.

Made by hand with USA-sourced copper, glass enamel, and a custom wood box frame - akin to the size of a novel.

Due to the nature of handmade items, products received may look different than the item pictured.
