"This is one of a series of 5 portraits of internationally known authors – Lim, Gunn, Day, Wolfe & Burroughs – then teaching at KU. I was commissioned by KU Endowment for portraits to be published in their Alumni magazine. William’s portrait is my favorite as I designed the set to depict he and his alter ego, Dr. Benway in the distorted reflection."
